How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning and meet the requirements of your chosen brief?

I intend to produce the front cover and contents pages of a music magazine which will be aimed at my target audience of 16–25 year olds. I will use an eye-catching and bold colour palette whilst maintaining a cohesive brand design using professional photographs for a striking main image and a clean house style.
My magazine will appeal to a wide audience by having a range of representations and diversity of models and articles, to engage interest in many readers. The genres of music will be mainly mainstream artists and upcoming pop which appeals to most.
My first cover will feature a compelling image of Zac who is a drummer and indie pop artist. On the other edition of the magazine, I will feature Ruby who is an ideal pop girl, and this edition will focus on mainstream music and the most current music trends. I will feature interesting articles about topics which music fans would be interested in such as the Grammys and artists like the Weeknd and Chappell Roan who are very relevant artists. The titles of these articles will create intertextual references to songs of these artists, which my readers will recognise and therefore feel engaged by the magazines.
My contents pages will match the colour palettes and style of their covers and will also have a list of featured articles on topics which would draw interest to my target audience such as Festivals and interviews with popular artists.
I will have two working pages which will be the home page and a latest page. The website will have a set layout and theme and professional photos to ensure it is recognisable and consistent. There will be hints to future articles which will increase engagement. There will be ways for readers to participate through competitions and a collab with Spotify where readers send in their top albums of the year. There will be Easter eggs on my website where some photos and buttons reveal other content or are a link to merch.

How do you intend to link your media products to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the digitally convergent nature of your media production?
I will demonstrate how digital convergence can impact my products by making use of adding a QR code to my magazine which readers can scan to take them to the website. There will be ways which the products engage the audience by having call to actions to subscription forms and competitions. There will be themes in the design which run through my website and magazine editions such as stars and the photography and language. There will also be references on my website to articles in my magazine which will encourage audiences to want to read the magazine, which will make use of self promotion.
